Opus Has Maintained The Business Continuity Management Certification

OPUS attained the Business Continuity Management (BCM) System Certification for the ISO 22301: 2012 Standard in November 2013 and has since maintained this certification to date.

The scope of the certification covers OPUS’ key business processes, which are in the areas of the Provision of IT Resources, Managed Services and Contact Centre Services. Continued maintenance of the BCM Certification is evidence to OPUS’ resilience to business disruptions, minimising the negative impacts arising from these disruptions and ensuring rapid recovery of Critical Business Functions.

OPUS IT Business Continuity Policy

OPUS IT Services Pte Ltd is committed to identifying potential risks and threats which may negatively impact the company’s business processes by adopting the BCM framework to build its resilience and capability for response that safeguards the interests of its key stakeholders, reputation and brand.

In meeting this commitment, OPUS IT Services shall comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and seek for continual improvement of the Business Continuity Management System.

Opus Singapore has Attained bizSAFE level 3 Status

bizSAFE (Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) related Certification)

OPUS attained bizSAFE Level 3 Status as of 8th December 2020.

bizSAFE is a five-step programme which assists companies in building up capabilities in addressing workplace safety, health and security. Since September 2017, the programme has incorporated SGSecure elements to help companies put in place measures to manage potential terror threats as well.

OPUS has in place a framework which provides a systematic approach to reviewing of all workplace related hazards and their potential risks, risk assessment and risk control in the company’s operations. These activities are expected to decrease the frequency of incidents which lead to injuries or ill health, and also reduce the impact of such incidents IF these do occur.

Workplace Safety and Health Policy

OPUS IT Services Pte Ltd is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees in the provision of IT Support Resource Outsourcing Services, Managed Services, and End-user IT and Product Support Services.

The Management is committed to providing a safe, healthy and secure working environment not just for employees, but for external service providers and other visitors to OPUS’ premises.

The objective for the company is zero reportable accidents.

In order to achieve excellence in organisational health and safety practices while carrying out all work activities, we strive to eliminate known vulnerabilities, hazards and the associated risks, and put in place safe work procedures where necessary. Aligning ourselves to this endeavour, we are committed to complying with all the relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and also to the continual improvement of health and safety practices and policies. Information on such, will be made available to all stakeholders and interested parties upon request.

In our quest to prevent any workplace mishaps which may lead to injuries and ill-health, and to be better equipped to deal with emergencies and terror threats, the following will be in place and the related processes continuously improved upon:

  • A systematic workplace risk management system in compliance to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in Singapore;
  • A framework that ensures the systematic identification, assessment and control of hazards and the associated risks;
  • Control measures to address root causes of accidents;
  • Preventive measures to control particular hazards;
  • Regular review exercises of work activities, hazards and the associated risks;
  • Safe Work Procedures for certain work activities on our premises;
  • Emergency Evacuation Plan;
  • Workplace Terror Attack Response Plan with a Lock-down Procedure;

OPUS IT Demonsrated Proof of Concept Towards the ASEAN Community 2015

Singapore; July 15, 2009, – OPUS IT Services Pte Ltd, a leading IT services and solutions company based in Singapore, is pleased to announce a concluded proof of concept exercise towards the ASEAN Community 2015 by using a collaborative technology (Web 2.0) between Methodist Girls’ School in Singapore and their twin-school, Raffles International Christian School in Indonesia.

The objective of this proof of concept is to promote and enhance cultural understanding among ASEAN schools through use of collaborative technologies (Web 2.0) where it helps to work towards the aim of the ASEAN Community 2015 in seeking to forge a common identity and build a caring and sharing society which is inclusive and where the well-being, livelihood, and welfare of the peoples are enhanced.

OPUS IT Services together with the support from their valued partners completed this proof of concept by the setting up two sets of Video Conference Systems and Interactive Whiteboards allowing the students/teachers from the Methodist Girls’ Schools and Raffles International Christian School to interact and exchange ideas as if it were, face-to-face. This exercise also attests to the fact that students across the region can make use of this technology to share academic subject matter content and undertake projects spanning geographical boundaries.

 The CCAS International Contact Centre Awards 2008 seek to recognize and honour the people behind the scenes that continue to fuel the industry’s exciting growth in the contact centre industry in Singapore.

This award was organized by The Contact Centre Association of Singapore (CCAS), a non-profit independent organization that was established to harness existing expertise and promote the development of a world-class contact centre industry in Singapore.

The judges this year come from countries across Asia Pacific including Taiwan and Philippines giving a good mix of cultural differences and very deep call centre experience and expertise.
