Crowning of ICL Idol 2010

Congratulations to OPUS IDOLs – Ms Villavieja , Desiree Joy for winning as 2nd runner-up and Mr Fong Weng Seng as Mr. Congeniality during the ICT IDOL night.
The contestants wowed the crowd and impressed the judges with their powerful singing voices and charismatic, star appeal. Among the idols, it was Leo QiJun of Starhub who bagged the crown with Rubber band, the cute trio Jasper Tan, Shin Xu & Marshall Ma from the Institute of Systems Science, National University Singapore, as second and the small but terrible Desiree Villavieja, from OPUS IT Services, as third. The Mr. Congeniality award was awarded to Fong Weng Seng who was also from OPUS IT.

Sift Volunteer Day 2012 at Lions Befrienders Sacs

National ICT Industry Volunteers Day celebrated on 14th July at 3 Lions Befrienders Senior Activity Centres

“With smiling faces”, that is how the volunteers and elderly at the three Lions Befrienders Senior Activity Centres (SACs) concluded the National ICT Industry Volunteer’s Day.

National ICT Industry Volunteer’s Day was launched since 2004 to encourage ICT companies to engage in meaningful collaborations that provide positive impact to the less fortunate communities. This year, the objective is to raise funds for the operations of the Lions Befrienders SACs and donation of electrical peripherals to enhance the facilities in these centres. Through the support of the SiTF members, partners and friends, SiTF managed to raise more than $20,000 both in cash and in-kind donation.

Besides the fund-raising, a befriending programme was held on 14 July at the three LB SACs. The volunteers prepared a simple programme with performances, games, and food for the senior folks at Mei Ling, Ang Mo Kio and Bendemeer. OPUS has supported in the fund-raising and Befriending Day @ the Lions Befrienders Senior Activity Centres (SACs) located at Ang Mo Kio.

We have around 30 volunteers from OPUS who have taken time and effort to join in this programme.

A big thank you to all the volunteers and OPUS is looking forward to support next year ICT Volunteer’s Day.

Sitf Golf Classic at Raffles Country Club

Last 19 April, SiTF organized its annual Golf Classic event. The occasion was graced by the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA), Dr Yaacob Ibrahim (GOH) & Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ronnie Tay (Special Guest).

Sitf Volunteer Day at Society for the Aged Sick

OPUS has supported in the SiTF Volunteer’s day – Befriending Day @ Society For The Aged Sick, 9 July 2011.

Around 80 ICT professionals had taken time to spend with the SAS residents on that day.
