Responsibilities
DC Operator is to assist in managing the essential non-stop 24×7 data centre operations in accordance with defined policies, processes and instructions.
• Responsible for Physical Access Management and Racks Keys Access Management
• Accountable for verifications and checks of Data Centre Systems and Resources to be in accordance with site specific processes
• Responsible for Data Centre Environmental Monitoring, including power infrastructure metrics, cooling infrastructure metrics, fire detection and suppression systems, temperature and humidity monitoring, and water leakage detection
• Responsible for Physical Security Management, CCTV and Security Access Monitoring and management of
• maintenance activities
• Follow up closely on all escalations according to defined processes and escalation matrix
• Update timely on assets and rack diagrams
• Execute timely on tasks in accordance with defined standard operating procedures
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Information Systems
• ITIL V3 Foundation and Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Management (CDFOM) Certifications are preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in Data Centre operations
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 operating systems, Unix and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (i.e. Vmware ESXi, Microsoft HyperV) and network infrastructure
• Knowledge of ITSM tools for incident management and service request management
• Knowledge of SS564 Singapore Standard for Green Data Centre is an advantage
• Possess effective oral and written communication skills
• Customer-oriented, self-driven and ability to work independently and with a team
• Required to work on 12-hour shift to provide 24×7 operational support
