The Middleware Engineer, is responsible for the administration and troubleshooting in a 24×7 enterprise setting. The job role involves the manual discovery or post actions derived from automatic alerts. The incumbent is also responsible for level 1 and level 2 Middleware (Sharepoint, CRM, Jboss, Weblogic, HTTP Server) related technical issues.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the support of IT infrastructure of Middleware (Sharepoint, CRM, Jboss, Weblogic, HTTP Server)
• Provide expertise in troubleshooting and identifying root cause analysis of server and application issues
• Deploy Middleware packages and bug fixes to Test/PreProd/Production environments
• Adhere to change management requirements for implementation of enhancements and change requests
• Responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of Middleware (Sharepoint, CRM, Jboss, Weblogic, HTTP Server) administration to meet the business needs and service levels
• Manage operational changes through change request process and provide status reports to the relevant parties
• Provide 1st and 2nd level operational support of Middleware (Sharepoint, CRM, Jboss, Weblogic, HTTP Server)
• Respond promptly to incidents, investigate and deliver temporary or permanent resolutions of incidents escalated, and provide timely status updates to relevant parties
• Ensure service levels meet the requirements, and propose and implement action plans when required
• Responsible for the implementation of service continuity measures, such as backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuity of the business operations
• Support of other Middleware (Sharepoint, CRM, Jboss, Weblogic, HTTP Server) administration activities
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned
Requirements
Pre-Requisites
• Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Middleware (Sharepoint, CRM, Jboss, Weblogic, HTTP Server) administration in an enterprise level environment
• Strong Knowledge and experience in Middleware (Sharepoint, CRM, Jboss, Weblogic, HTTP Server)
• Strong Knowledge and experience in scripting tools/language.
