Singapore; July 15, 2009, – OPUS IT Services Pte Ltd, a leading IT services and solutions company based in Singapore, is pleased to announce a concluded proof of concept exercise towards the ASEAN Community 2015 by using a collaborative technology (Web 2.0) between Methodist Girls’ School in Singapore and their twin-school, Raffles International Christian School in Indonesia.
The objective of this proof of concept is to promote and enhance cultural understanding among ASEAN schools through use of collaborative technologies (Web 2.0) where it helps to work towards the aim of the ASEAN Community 2015 in seeking to forge a common identity and build a caring and sharing society which is inclusive and where the well-being, livelihood, and welfare of the peoples are enhanced.
OPUS IT Services together with the support from their valued partners completed this proof of concept by the setting up two sets of Video Conference Systems and Interactive Whiteboards allowing the students/teachers from the Methodist Girls’ Schools and Raffles International Christian School to interact and exchange ideas as if it were, face-to-face. This exercise also attests to the fact that students across the region can make use of this technology to share academic subject matter content and undertake projects spanning geographical boundaries.

The CCAS International Contact Centre Awards 2008 seek to recognize and honour the people behind the scenes that continue to fuel the industry’s exciting growth in the contact centre industry in Singapore.
This award was organized by The Contact Centre Association of Singapore (CCAS), a non-profit independent organization that was established to harness existing expertise and promote the development of a world-class contact centre industry in Singapore.
The judges this year come from countries across Asia Pacific including Taiwan and Philippines giving a good mix of cultural differences and very deep call centre experience and expertise.
With their thorough judging process, we are pleased to receive the Best Contact Centre Team Leader of the Year (under 100 Seats) – GOLD and Best Customer Service Professional of the Year (Under 100 seats) – BRONZE under the Individual Award Categories.

2008 Enterprise 50 Awards and
CCAS International Contact Centre Awards 2008.
The Enterprise 50 Awards recognize the contributions that local, privately-held companies have made in economic development in Singapore and abroad.
The applicants this year were evaluated and ranked using both quantitative and qualitative criteria. The quantitative factors included financial performance indicators such as operating profit before tax, turnover and profit growth. The qualitative aspects included management and marketing strategies such as the applicants’ business model and their innovations, management ideas and governance, market branding and overall potential.
After a rigorous process of adjudication by KPMG, The Business Times, International Enterprise Singapore, SPRING Singapore and IDA Singapore, we are delighted to we are delighted to be ranked 36 out of 50 prestige companies to receive the 2008 Enterprise 50 Awards on 21st Nov, 2008.
